Analysis Of William Shakespeare s Macbeth - 1887 Words

Ambition can be good because this motivates people to do but at the same time too much ambition can lead you to disaster. â€Å"Macbeth’’ is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare and is considered one of his darkest and most powerful works. William Shakespeare was born in Stratford -upon -avon, in Warwickshire and was baptized a few days later on 26 April 1566. William Shakespeare was educated at the local King Edward grammar school Stratford and is considered by many to be the greatest playwright of all time.(Bio.) In Macbeth, William Shakespeare used ambition to show us Lady Macbeth and Macbeth and their desire to be powerful which moves them toward disaster. T his also shows how Macbeth is the one who is ambitious, since Banquo stays a loyal man for Duncan. Macbeth knew that the only way to be king was doing the evil of deed of killing Duncan. Macbeth was motivated by ambition to kill King Duncan but knew people would blame Macbeth because Duncan had been a humble leader. We can see in act 1, scene 3 page 21. ‘’ This is a good thing why do I find myself thinking about murdering king Duncan a thoughts so horrifying that it makes my hair stand on end and my heart pound inside my chest.† This time show us that Macbeth think about king Duncan because he believes he can be king. He is scared but still stays firm with his decision. This quote shows us how even though Macbeth knows that is wrong to murder king Duncan, and this makes his â€Å"heart pound† and his â€Å"hair stand on end†, his ambition is stronger and pushes him toward evil actions, like a villain. Macbeth told Lady Macbeth that the three Witches predicted he will be the next king. Lady Macbeth was planning to persuade Macbeth to murder the king.
